It’s only necessary to set up Smart DNS Proxy one time in order to use it. After you set up Smart DNS proxy, you don’t have to follow these steps. Your connection will automatically use the correct DNS settings.

1. Open a web browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari and go to the FRITZ!Box user interface. You can either access it by going to the address http://fritz.box/ (be sure to include the “http://” or your browser might think you’re entering a search query), or use one of the following IP address: http://192.168.178.1/

Make sure you have "Advanced" [Erweitert] view activated. The current setting can be found on the bottom left of the screen: "View: Advanced" [Ansicht: Erweitert]. If it says "View: Standard" you can click on the word "Standard" to switch to "Advanced" mode. Alternately, you can click on the hamburger menu at the top right and then activate "Advanced View" [Erweiterte Ansicht]

2. Click on "Internet" on the left -> "Type of Connection" [Zugangsart] -> "DNS- Server".

3. Select “Use other DNSv4 servers” and enter the following DNS addresses:

Preferred DNSv4 server: 91.148.225.50

Alternative DNSv4 server: 91.148.229.50

4. Click the "Apply" button and restart the router.
